Social Media & Content at SAB

The University of Louisville Student Activities Board (SAB) was a yearlong position I had my junior year. I headed content creation and managed the organizations Instagram and TikTok pages. With the director of marketing we would meet with the other 6 chairs of the board and help them plan and market their events around campus. This included graphics, videos, physical lawn signs, and post event recaps. The majority of these events were small, but we also hosted the annual Spring Concert and campus-wide International Fashion Show (IFS) which I was given full creative control over marketing and content.

Social Media Posts

The SAB Instagram has over 5,000 followers that are mostly students looking to get involved on campus. My goal with the page was to attract students to the various events we hosted and give students all of the information they needed. This was mainly done through graphics and Reels.

Spring Concert

The Spring Concert for the 2023-24 school year was headlined by rapper G-Herbo. The marketing for this event was mainly handled by his team, but my responsibilities were posting it on our page, handling behind the scenes design, and photography for the event for the University to post afterward.

International Fashion Show

The IFS was one of the biggest responsibilities I had in this role. Every year this event is attended by over 3,000 students and faculty to celebrate the numerous cultures that make up the Universities diverse student body. For this I created a logo for that years show, created graphics and videos for posts leading up to the event, edited the video/ music that was played, and headed the photography of the show. The theme of this years show was Under the Same Moon so I wanted the aesthetic of it to be space age yet modern.
