Head of Marketing at Big House
Big House is a social event space that has existed for 15+ years. In the summer of 2023 I became the head of marketing and revamped the brand. While in this role I created its first logo (see right), formed a prominent social presence on UofL’s campus, implemented a firm social media strategy, and created t-shirts for the brand. All of these responsibilities worked together to increase attendance and engagement at the events Big House hosted.
Logo
Designing a logo was one of my first goals. Big House has unique architecture compared to most of the houses in Old Louisville. I wanted to utilize that, as it is instantly recognizable. This goal was accomplished by designing a simple 2D view of the front of the house. This logo was simple enough to be used on anything, but meant nothing else but Big House.

Social Media Strategy
Developed weekly posting strategy before events and to sell t-shirt merchandise. This strategy consisted of graphics, promotional videos, and memes that would be posted throughout the week leading up to any event. The purpose of this strategy was to gradually build up anticipation similar to an artist releasing a new album.

T-Shirts
In my 2 years in this position I designed and coordinated the printing of 4 t-shirt designs. 100 of each were ordered and with the promo and hype built through social media and organic channels all of them sold out, so sorry if you wanted one.
